    Who is Fordell Fast Forward Open to?
    Fordell Fast Forward is open to Scottish Cubs and Scouts aged between 9.5 and 12. Cubs and Scouts need to come with their leaders bookings are taken from the Group, Pack or Troop.

    What are the Start Times / Finish times?
    The Camp Starts from 6.30pm on the Friday, thats when registration opens. Because of the geographical spread. We expect groups to arrive 1 or 2 hours later than that time. The 1st timed programme activity is at 9.30pm – The Opening Ceremony. The Camp will finish at 3pm on the Sunday.

    Do I need a Nights Away Permit?
    No. The Camp Leaders permit will cover the camp, however Groups should notify their DC’s in the normal way via a NAN form.

    Where do I get forms?
    Individual Permission forms are available from the downloads page.

    How is the Catering going to be arranged?
    Catering will be centralised. Hot food will be served at meal times in a large marquee to the right of Scottish HQ. The cost of catering is included.

    The first meal will be supper on the Friday night, it will not be substantial, ensure that the Cub / Scouts and yourselves get fed dinner before you leave!!

    What will be the programme?
    At this stage, we havent completed the programme, we expect to be able to finalise it in the coming months. We will then publish it on this website.

    What will be the Cost?
    The total cost of the camp for a Cub or a Scout is £35.  A £15 deposit is required on 01/02/2010, with the balance by 04/05/2010. Leaders, Parent Helpers, Young Leaders are all £15 payable on 01/02/2010. The cost quoted includes catering, but not transport to Fordell.

    What happens when/if the camp is full?
    The Camp is now full no more bookings can be accepted.

    Whats the transport arrangements?
    Leaders will have to make their own arrangements regarding minibuses, cars etc. We will give more information regarding when you arrive later. But fordell is not responsible for organising of transport to and from the camp.

    Do we need equipment?
    Leaders will have to bring enough tentage to for everyone in their Group. As catering is going to be centralised cooking facilities are not required.  All eating will be done Centrally in a marquee to the right of SHQ. Each Subcamp will have its own marquee, tea and coffee. Additional Mess Tents, tables and chairs are not required.

    How will the camp be arranged?
    The Camp will be arranged in 3 Sub Camps.

    What about Disclosure Scotland Checks?
    To comply with The Scout Association’s Child Protection Policy, every adult aged 18 or older has to have a valid Enhanced Disclosure Scotland processed within the last 5 years, on the dates of the camp. There is no exception to this.
